In April 2014, the project carried out by the Internation office started the first class. American teacher Mellissa Lyon has fully prepared for her first class and came to the classroom early. She brought plenty of teaching tools in order to offer the staffs an impressive and relaxed class. In the first place, our staffs were too nervous to speak English, but soon Mellissa has eased the atmosphere with her humorous teaching style. At last, the faculties involved actively in this class.

The second class instructed by American teacher Daniel F. Filipiak has also launched smoothly.Daniel is so experienced in teaching that he is good at using flexible teaching methods to help students improve their oral English. This makes our staff cooperate actively with Daniel so as to improve their English level under the guidance of him.

This project is planned jointly by the office of international exchange and cooperation and our American teacher Daniel and Melissa, aiming at enhancing the school teachers' oral English level; improving their academic research skill; increasing their opportunities to go abroad for further study, as well as providing our teachers a chance of learning and communicating with each other. The project got great response and support from many departments and teachers, we hope that this program can improve our teachers' English ability and lay a solid foundation for the teachers to apply corresponding projects to study abroad in the future.
