Prof. Klaas Ruitenbeek who’s the Director of the Asian Art Museum, National Museums In Berlin was appointed guest professor of GZMU

    On 25th of May, the appointment ceremony of the guest professor to Prof. Klaas Ruitenbeek who’s the Director of the Asian Art Museum, National Museums In Berlin was held in Huaxi Campus. The vice president Wei Wei attended and awarded the letter of appointment to Prof. Klaas Ruitenbeek. Among the guests to the appointment ceremony were the guest professor of School of Fine Art Prof.Wang Lan (Germany fashion designer, the vice president of Berlin Sino German Friendship Association, and the honorable Alumini of GZMU), Prof. Dagmar Yu-Dembski (the executive director of Confucius Institute at FU Berlin), Prof. Dagmar Venohr from Institute of Aesthetical and Cultural Education (Europe-University of Flensburg), Dr. Irina Hundt from HTW Dresden, Mr.Yang Xianqin (the director of Office of Cultural Affairs and deputy director of Propaganda Office), Mrs.Xie Jinfang (the deputy director of Office of International Exchange and Cooperation), Prof. Fan Zhaoping (Deputy Dean of School of Fine Art), Prof. Zhou Qingwei (Deputy Dean of School of Fine Art), and Prof. Wang Jianshan from School of Fine Art.

    After a brief introduction of both attendees of this ceremony, Prof. Fan Zhaoping gave a detailed introduction about Prof. Klaas Ruitenbeek. He was delighted to have Prof. Klaas Ruitenbeek as one of the guest professors and stressed that it was a great event on the road of the development of art education in our university. He was looking forward to getting the guidance from Prof. Klaas Ruitenbeek for our in-progress Museum in design and planning.

    The Vice President Wei Wei warmly welcomed Prof. Klaas Ruitenbeek to become one of guest professors of our school, and sincerely hoped it would enhance and tighten the communication and cooperation of art education development.

     Prof. Klaas Ruitenbeek expressed his appreciation to join our school faculties and promised that he would share his fruitful experiences and assist the planning and designing of the museum project.

    After the ceremony, the two sides held cordially and friendly exchanges.
